LiveLumberjack
A simple commitment untangler for the days you finish exhausted, unsure you wanted to do any of it. Lumberjack helps you direct your effort instead of just clearing a list. It runs in your browser, on your device, doesn't need an account and is free.
Everything feels urgent
You're not lazy, and you're not falling behind. You spend the whole day doing things, and every one of them is urgent or important. By the time there's a moment to ask what you actually wanted, the day is already gone. The problem isn't getting things done. It's that there's no room left for you to choose.
A to-do list asks what you'll do next. Lumberjack asks whether it should be on the list at all.
Start one question earlier
Most productivity apps start at execution: here is your list, now get through it. Lumberjack starts before that. It breaks up commitments into stages and asks one question at a time, so you're not mixing and answering them all at once. That pile-up is what turns a busy day into a stuck one.
Why we built it
We built Lumberjack because we kept getting stuck asking every question at once. It left us frustrated and exhausted, finishing days busy without feeling we'd moved anything that mattered. Every app we tried was happy to help us do more, and none asked whether the things on the list were ours to begin with.
So we built the one that makes space to ask.
